Központi légszűrő ¤ central air intake

 A visszapuhítás jegyében az egyik legnagyobb feladat az autó elhalkítása, a legnagyobb hangforrás egyértelműen a motor. Itt két dolgot fogok csinálni: a kipuffogó rendszert átalakítom úgy, hogy kap még egy dobot, illetve beruháztam a képen látható központi légszűrő szettre, ami a karburátorok szívóhangját hivatott tompítani. Jó dolog egy versenyautóban, de túrázáshoz már hangosnak érzem, kíváncsi vagyok mennyit fojt rajta. Járulékos előny, hogy rendezettebbnek, gyáriasabbnak tűnik tőle a motortér, reméljük ezt majd a rend éber őrei is kultiválják.

I want to detune the bug, in other word tranform it from a weekend warrior to a gran tourismo. The loudest part is the engie, therefore I will add an other silcencer to the system on one hand, and on the other hand I bought this central air filter kit in order to reduce the intake noise the carbs makes under load. Don't get me wrong I do like the scream they make and it sounds properly in a race car but a bit too much for my ears on the long run. As an additional benefit the engine bay will look more stockish with this installed.

I decided to sell my 914 5 speed gearbox as I will not build it in the bug. It is on the way to Belgium.
