Egy ideje agyalok egy új projekten. A lehető legnagyobb hülyeségnek tűnik (jó eséllyel az is), mert még a bogár sincs kész igazán és arra is kell energiát fordítsak. Éppen ezért csak olyanban gondolkozom, ami működik, lakatolni, fényezni, alkatrészt vadászni biztosan nem akarok többé. Az is biztos, hogy nem bogár lesz, mert abból az irány a nullakettő, amiről eredendően ez a blog is szól, másra nem vágynék. Viszont egy 412 Variant vagy Typ3 Variant tetszene, lenne jövőbeli perspektívája (családi hobbi autó) és kacsingatok is feléjük egy ideje. Hónapok óta figyelek egy matt szürke typ3 Variant hirdetést a hahu-n, úgyhogy végre felhívtam. Amikor kiderült, hogy ismerősöm árulja, nem haboztam autóba pattanni és elmenni kipróbálni. Három dologban tudnám összefoglalni a tapasztalatokat:
1. Bejön a Typ3 Variant mint modell, tényleg el tudnám magamnak képzelni
2. Sok pénzt költött rá annak idején, azóta csak áll és előre elmondta a hibáit, hiányosságait
3. Ennek ellenére nem fogom megvenni, annál picit pont foglalkozósabb, mint amire vágyom. Úgy érzem nem megoldást, hanem újabb problémákat vásárolnék. Kár. Remélem valaki megveszi és jó gazdája lesz.
I have been thinking on a new project for a while. Might sound crazy as the bug is not - and never been really - ready and still requires plenty of money and energy to make it happen. Despite of it or exactly because of this never ending story I started to play with the idea of buying an other aircooled but something ready to drive, not a project car. For sure it will not be an other beetle as the only way I like such a thing is the way I am building my 02, this blog is/was dedicated to. On the other hand I have a thing with a 412 or Type3 Variant since they are different and way bigger in size that make it compatible with future family plans. I have been keeping my eyes on a car in the last couple of month, finally I called it. It turned out it belongs to a guy I know from years so I gave it a go and checked it in live. My conclusions are the following:
1. I do like the type3 Variant as a modell, I can see myself driving one at any day
2. He spent a lot of money on the car, but it still needs some love to be completed this was told me in advance
3. Despite all the above I will not buy it, it is still a bit more project car than expected and I feel it would be another bunch of problems to be solved instead being the solution to my "non having an aircooled right now" problem. Too bad...hope somebody will buy it and love it.
